The existing Chaparral Electric complex consists of three building located on the east and west sides of 6th Street directly south of Interstate 40 in Albuquerque’s historic Sawmill District. The area is known for its eclectic mix of industrial, manufacturing, and residential uses. The warehouse is situated between the existing Chaparral offices and an adjacent residence.
The owner’s goal for the warehouse was to provide a large facility that would accommodate all of their stock materials inside the building. In addition to basic storage, the warehouse has a mezzanine that provides a distinct space for company meetings and an office for the warehouse manager.
