BUILDING QUALITY IN NEW MEXICO SINCE 1982

CHANGING TIMES

Change and Growth

-Adam Leyba

We have clearly had a lot of changes over the past few years here at Klinger, most notably the retirement of President Ray Smith and Vice President Jim Werkmeister with 70 years at Klinger combined. Sheesh they're old! In all seriousness though, I'm very thankful for their great leadership over the years and how much they set us up for success. We wish them all the best in their retirement. I also want to thank John Gleeson for trusting me and Joel Loes to lead the company. We are up for the challenge.

Change can be both exciting and daunting, but I want to assure each and every one of you that I am here to support you all to the best of my ability. My door is always open and I love to hear new ideas on how we can improve.

We are not just a construction company; we are a family, and it is important to me that each member of our team feels valued, heard, and empowered. Together, we can and do achieve great things which we have proven over and over again. It always amazes me when a project is complete how it all came together. It takes a lot of teamwork to make it happen. Teamwork is not just about working together, it's about trusting each other, lifting each other up and celebrating each other's successes. I really like the quote “a rising tide raises all ships," because it signifies a team rooting for each other and helping each other succeed.

That’s what it’s going to take to continue our success.

I believe this is the best team we have ever had at Klinger, and there is no limit to what we can accomplish!

Thank you for your dedication and hard work. Here's to a successful journey ahead!

Ray Smith

We also celebrated Pete Jacobson who retired as superintendent after 35 years with Klinger. His long career included projects at Intel, General Electric, National Distributors, Hotel Parq Central, Google Titan, Kairos Power, Thornburg Office Campus and ended at Arcosa.

Pete was proud to be joined by past retired alumni, Don Kawal along with Jim Werkmeister and Jeff Kardas. Ray Smith is enjoying Tennessee and was unable to join the fun.

We stand strong on the foundation they all helped build.

Congratulations!

Please join us in congratulating more changes in the office and in the field. These promotions are well deserved!
