The La Fonda Lobby Renovations project involved updating the public spaces of the historic hotel. The gift shop moved from its small retail space to an updated larger space with direct exterior access. This allowed the lobby to be enlarged and updated and two new family restrooms were added. Custom carved retail boxes were installed in the first floor corridors. A new garage vestibule was added, giving guests a conditioned welcoming space to enter and exit the building. The Bar and Lounge were completely remodeled. The mechanical and electrical systems required extensive updates to bring the public areas up to current codes.
